Help fight childhood cancer—be a rally sponsor!

General Sponsorship Information

Get on board and help raise a bunch of money for the charity, and make the Harvest Classic the best rally of its type in Texas. It’s easy, just give us money or stuff, and poof, you are a sponsor! We take your cash and funnel it right to Candlelighters, or use your donated goods in the raffle or auction to raise even more money for the charity.

We know why you want to be a sponsor. It’s because you are a righteous human, and you are down with the cause. We love that, and in return, we want to tell the world about your generosity and support. We promote the rally through traditional advertising, enthusiastic grassroots promotion, and word of mouth.. As a rally sponsor, your company’s support for the fight against childhood cancer will be recognized by motorcycle enthusiasts and their families in Texas, and around the world.

Candlelighters—A Program of Any Baby Can

January 30, 2010 By LauraAllison

All money raised at the Harvest Classic benefits the Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Program of Any Baby Can

History

Candlelighters in the Austin Area was founded in 1988 as a grass-roots, parent-driven nonprofit to aid children and families battling childhood cancer. As the number of families facing the strain of childhood cancer grew (from 15 beneficiary families in the first year to the thousands of families who have received services to date), Candlelighters evolved into a combined effort between professional social workers and families to help them cope with the difficulties of having a child with cancer. In 2003, Candlelighters merged with Any Baby Can, increasing the scope of both nonprofit organizations.

Central to the vision of Candlelighters is that no family should have to go through their journey with cancer alone. Included among the many services provided are counseling and crisis intervention, respite services and events, school-based services, family events, holiday celebrations, Camp Grey Dove for siblings, and bereavement services. Candlelighters clients also benefit from wrap-around supports in the form of mental health counseling and financial assistance for housing stability, equipment, and basic needs. The program provides support throughout all stages of cancer without regard to race, color, national origin, gender, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or financial status. Together, we create an effective advocacy team to support the entire family in navigating uncertainty and to take on the challenges ahead.

Who is CTMC

August 9, 2011 By MC Silverback

CrewCentral Texas Motorcycle Charities (CTMC) is just a small group of people whose lives have been touched by pediatric cancer, and formed a 501c3 organization so we could do some good.

Some of us are childhood friends, others are newfound ones, and we all want to do what we can to help kids fight cancer.

Many of us work on this rally in honor and memory of Emma Duke, who passed away from Neuroblastoma at the young age of 4. Emma was the sweet daughter of Russell and Kathy Duke, and throughout Emma’s struggle against childhood cancer, the Candlelighters were always there to provide counseling, special events, Christmas toys, airline tickets for out-of-town treatment, and much more. Even though Emma is in heaven, there are still kids who are fighting cancer right now, and the Candlelighters are there to help them.

Our goal at CTMC is to make the Harvest Classic be the best rally you’ve ever attended and, most importantly, raise as much money as possible for this very worthy charity.
